Sharing Success

Dr. Rabon and the staff at TLC,

My name is Elisa Miller. I had LASIK eye surgery at your office on July 10, 2003. I can't even begin to find the words to express how much that day has changed my life and how wonderful your staff was. The entire process, from the second I walked through the door until the second I walked out was absolutely wonderful. The entire staff was so caring and helpful. They eased my mind and made me feel good about my decision as well as educated me more on the procedure itself. Their own personal experiences helped calm my fears and made me realize that this truly was the best decision I could make.

Dr. Rabon, you are a wonderful person and, in my mind, the best in the business. I'm so thankful that my own optometrist referred me to you. You made me laugh even though I was absolutely scared to death! And, your amazing talent has given me the best gift I could ever have. I was -10 in my left eye, and -7 to -8 in my right eye. By the time I left your office I was already 20/60. When I had my follow-up appointment the next day, it was 20/20. Today has been 10 weeks exactly and I am still 20/20. I owe it all to your surgical skills and to your wonderful facility.

Again thanks so much for taking such good care of me. You are a wonderful doctor with a wonderful staff. Thanks to all!!!

Elisa Miller

I just had to write and tell you that I saw Dr. Weberling, today for my second recheck. I am seeing 20/15 after 37 years of wearing glasses, all I can say is this is WONDERFUL. I am seeing things that I really just took for granted, because even with my glasses I saw 20/40. I think Dr. Weberling, is also amazed with the progress I have had, even though he tell me "I told you". I should have had this done when he first recommended it, but I was a BIG CHICKEN!

A Big Thank You goes out to the doctors and staff of TLC. Each and every one of you are so very nice, and a special thanks to the one who held my hand through this.

Situation: A Virginia State Trooper got in pursuit of a subject operating older model sedan that had committed a gas drive-off at a local gas station.

The pursuit started on I-81N near Exit 77. The suspect exited off Exit 80 and came to a stop behind a Comfort Inn. The suspect fled on foot.

I, DW Hudson, was the first officer to provide backup to the Trooper. I realized the suspect ran up an embankment. We discussed the situation quickly, and I told the Trooper that there was a campground on the other side. I then went to that campground and was scanning the hillside. It was then I spotted the suspect lying on his back approximately 250 yards away. I could see him raise his head to look down at my location. At that time my vision was 20/15.

Other units responded to my exact location and when we exited the vehicles and started toward the suspect he jumped up and ran back over the hill. He was apprehended approximately 15 minutes later found hiding in a fence row. Subject was not licensed and wanted in another state for a serious crime.
