Peter Shriver, D.O. - Medical Director

Dr. Shriver’s LASIK experience dates back to 1995 and has performed more than 14,000 procedures. He routinely teaches and proctors other Ophthalmologists in basic and advanced techniques in LASIK and other refractive procedures.

Education/Training
Dr. Shriver received his medical degree from the University of New England and completed his ophthalmology residency at Tulsa Regional Medical Center at Oklahoma State University. After completing his residency he was accepted to a Corneal and Refractive Surgery fellowship at the University of California.

Memberships/Affiliations
Dr. Shriver is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is a member of numerous medical and ophthalmic professional organizations including the International Society of Refractive Surgery, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and Tampa Bay Ophthalmologic Society.

Honors/Accomplishments
In addition to beginning his refractive surgery career in 1991, Dr. Shriver is one of only a handful of ophthalmologists who has completed a formal year-long fellowship sub-specializing in refractive and corneal surgery at the world renown Beckman Laser Institute.

Mark A.Sibley, MD, FACS

Dr. Sibley’s LASIK experience dates back to 1996 and has trained with many leading specialists and pioneers in LASIK and refractive surgery. He uses the most modern state of the art laser and surgical techniques. He provides All-Laser LASIK (Intralase) at TLC.

Education/Training
Dr. Sibley received his medical degree from the Meharry Medical College in Nashville and completed his ophthalmology residency at University of Alabama and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Sibley is board certified in both ophthalmology and eye surgery.

Dr. Sibley is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is a member of numerous medical and ophthalmic professional organizations including the International Society of Refractive Surgery, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, International Academy of Sports Vision and Out-Patient Ophthalmic Surgery Society.

Honors/Accomplishments
In addition to being the past Chief of Staff at Sun Bay Medical Center, Dr. Sibley is a Clinical Assistant Instructor at the University of South Florida Medical School and has received several recognition awards from the American Medical Association. Since 1997, Dr. Sibley has also been the team eye physician for the Major League Baseball team Tampa Bay Devil Rays.

Phillip Cuva, OD, Clinical Director

Dr. Phil Cuva is a 1995 graduate of the New England College of Optometry. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Florida optometric Association and the Hillsborough Society of Optometrists. He is also a Member of the Optometric Council of refractive technology. Dr. Cuva has been awarded the Father Connie award and was voted Merrimack College man of the year (1989). He practiced in Boston for 5 years before he moved to Tampa in 2000. He has been the Clinical Director at TLC for 3 years. He is a competitive triathlete and loves to spend time with his wife and 3 children.
