Anthony Economou, D.O. - Medical Director
Anthony Economou, D.O. is the medical director for TLC Tulsa. Dr. Economou specializes in refractive procedures with an emphasis in Laser Vision Surgery and the medical and surgical management of glaucoma.
Dr. Economou has the unique distinction of being both a Doctor of Optometry and a Doctor of Medicine and Surgery. Following his graduation from Northeastern State University College of Optometry in 1986, he continued his education at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery where he received his medical degree in 1992. Upon completion of his residency training in Ophthalmology, he pursued specialized fellowship training in Albany, NY. Dr. Economou continue to pursue extensive training in the latest surgical technology specializing in both refractive surgery and glaucoma at such renowned institutions as Stanford University Medical Center, the Clinical Sciences Center of Michigan State University, and TLC Laser Eye Centers under Jeff Machat, M.D.
A Board Certified Ophthalmologist and is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalomogy, Oklahoma Academy of Ophthalmology, American Osteopathic Ophthalmology Association and, the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery, Dr. Economou has established an excellent surgical reputation in the laser surgical correction of refractive errors. He is an adjunct Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology, frequent guest lecturer and has authored numerous textbooks on Ophthalmology.
Having chosen Lasik for his own eyes, Dr. Economou is uniquely qualified to best answer patient questions from not only a surgeon's perspective but from a patient perspective as well.

Originally from Edmonds, Washington, Dr. Langley received a scholarship to Washington State University from the local rotary club. At Washington State University, he was active as a Theta Chi Fraternity Executive Committee Officer, Scholarship Chairman, Rush Chairman, and Finance Chairman. He was also a member of the Washington State University varsity football team and a recruiting officer for Coug Guys and Gals. Dr. Langley graduated Cum Laude with a Major in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry.
Dr. Langley continued his education at Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa. He was an active member of his class playing an integral part in health promotion and disease prevention for secondary education and the Latin community. Dr. Langley was a contributing writer for the university’s newsletter and organized the Malpractice Bowl, a friendly competition between medical and law students. He is currently a member of Tulsa Young Professionals and Rotary Club of Tulsa.
Dr. Langley has earned several awards in excellence of refractive surgery, as well as cataract surgery, from Triad Eye Laser Center and an award from OSU Department of Surgery. On a national level, he has received a lifelong education award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a physicians recognition award from American Medical Association, and is AOCOO-HNS written board certified. Dr. Langley is currently facilitating in the education of the OSU Center for Health Sciences medical students and TRMC intern and residents as an Assistant Professor of Surgery and Clinical Director of the Department of Ophthalmology.
Certified by VISX to perform the LASIK procedure, as well as one of only a hand full of refractive surgeons in the Tulsa area certified to use the IntraLase laser, Dr. Langley is also a skilled refractive and cataract surgeon. Dr. Langley also performs Oculoplastic procedures, such as brow and lid lifts, lesions removal, BOTOX, and other more complex eye surgeries, such as intraocular lens/contact lens placement ICL, corneal transplant, and Intacs corneal implants.
