Gene Gabianelli, M.D., Medical Director, TLC Atlanta, is among the first surgeons in Georgia to utilize Bladeless LASIK technology (IntraLase®). He has extensive LASIK experience including use of the Summit, Nidek and VISX excimer laser systems. His LASIK experience dates back to 1995 and he has taught several courses on LASIK surgery to ophthalmologists and optometrists from across the United States.
Education/Training
Dr. Gabianelli received his medical degree from Washington University Medical School in St. Louis, Missouri. After medical school, he completed his residency and chief residency at the University of Chicago. Following his residency, he chose an intensive surgical fellowship in cornea, refractive, and cataract surgery with a private group in Hartford, Connecticut. There, he performed one of the earliest studies of excimer laser vision correction in the United States.

Dr. Gabianelli is board certified and serves as the Chief of the Division of Ophthalmology at St. Joseph’s Hospital and the Medical Director of TLC Laser Eye Centers in Atlanta. He is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the International Society of Refractive Surgery and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. His experience includes more than 14 years of specialty in eye surgery including LASIK, Advanced Surface Ablation, PTK, Corneal Transplants and Sutureless Cataract Surgery.
Personal
Dr. Gabianelli is married with 3 children. He enjoys golf, reading and camping with his family.
Dr. White is a graduate of Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Following graduation, she successfully completed a residency program in Ocular Disease and Cornea with the Veterans Administration Medical Centers, Wilmer Ophthalmologic Eye Institute, and Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. White also lectured both in the USA and abroad on various ocular diseases.
Dr. White is a member of the American Optometric Association, Georgia Optometric Association, National Optometric Association, and serves as an examiner for the National Board of Optometry.
When not providing patient care, Dr. White enjoys yoga and the opera.
