Sharing Success

My name is Aaron Fields and I am one of many satisfied customers. I am just writing to share my experience with you and to thank you for your expertise, and great care of me.

The Introduction:

At first, like anyone else, I was nervous and skeptical. I knew nothing about LASIK and needed an education. TLC provided me with that education in terms I could understand through the information provided and by their complete well explained answers to my questions. I understood well enough to have the confidence to undergo the procedure believing that I would be better off after than before (I did not anticipate the great results I did receive that I will explain in detail later on).

The Staff:

I can't explain well enough how careful and exhaustive the staff dealt with me in, again answering my questions and answering completely and thoughtful. They all truly love their job and are true professionals. Even the receptionists were able to answer technical questions that I thought only the surgeon would be able to answer (Kim explained the 'floating' laser that detects minor eye movement during the surgery). There were two girls at the front desk (one did all my paperwork for me) forgive me I can't remember their names, but they were very kind and patient with me. Dr. White was as thoughtful and professional as I could hope a doctor could be. I was delayed in leaving because of car trouble and while I was sitting in the waiting room she noticed my discomfort (burning, watering eyes) so she gave me a little more numbing drops with helped a lot. Then when I wiped the excess she got on me quick and stopped me and even brought me back in the room to check and make sure I didn't mess anything up. Thank you! Dr. Gabianelli was excellent a man that deserves to be recognized for the professional that he is. The precise results (20/15) could only be achieved by attention to detail and someone who loves their job and knows it far beyond my understanding.

The Procedure:

I appreciate how they took me in the surgery room and did the job without hesitation (they didn't give me time to think, but just told me what they wanted me to do and got to work). They were removing the flap before I really had a chance to try to back out. I was committed and that's all there was to it! I like how they did that. As far as Clifford goes all I can say is thank you I couldn't have done it without you. Now I know why he is red (I alone just about strangled him to death). He will soon be purple. Once done they had me step down and turn around at the clock and tell them what time it was and I could not only tell the time, but I could even see the second hand! That was amazing!

The Results:

20/15, what more can I say? I can't remember the last time (if ever) I was able to see this good. The clarity is truly amazing, I can't stop staring out the window into the woods out back, it looks like a 3D movie theatre compared to what I am used to. I am a hunter and can't wait to see my first deer with my new eyes. Hunting season will be much different without glasses next year. The only time I was able to see this good was either through my binoculars or the scope of my rifle. Now it is not really all that amazing to me to look through the binoculars they just make things a little closer like they are supposed to.

I am spreading the word about what a great experience I had and how good TLC was to me I was hoping I could get a bumper sticker from you "TLC has helped me SEE". I would proudly put them on my vehicles.

For years now, I had been considering having Lasik surgery done on my eyes. My younger brother had it done. A couple of my friends also had it done. Everyone I know had nothing but praise to say after their respective surgeries. My brother told me that next to marrying his wife, it was the best decision he had ever made in his life. For years now, I knew that I wanted to have it done, but it never became one of my top priorities. Then, this past summer, while playing in a beach volleyball league and various other sports, my glasses seemed to always hinder me. I started to think more and more about LASIK. I figured that I would research it during the off season; just another frivolous reason to put it off.

Well, I finally scheduled my appointment with TLC, the same company that performed surgery on Tiger, not to mention that one of my friends worked there and raved about it as well. My prescription was actually 5 years old and I had to decide if I would just update it or have the surgery done. My active lifestyle and the professionalism of the staff actually persuaded me to schedule the surgery for the following week.

The actual procedure was painless and I was in and out of the office within an hour and a half. Later that night, I could not "believe my eyes"! I could actually see farther and better than I could when I used to wear my glasses. In fact, I kept on reaching up to my face to "adjust" my glasses but realized they weren't there! I should have had this procedure done years ago. I don't miss my glasses and I'm extremely please with my results. I have 20/20 vision in my left eye and 20/15 in my right eye. Anyone considering having this procedure done should do so as they will soon realize the benefits and the positive impact it will have on their lifestyle. Thanks to TLC!
