 | I started practicing ophthalmology in 1981 after earning my medical degree at Bowman Gray school of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and completing my residency in Ophthalmology, at the University of Southern California, USC. I am a Board Certified Ophthalmologist with over 25 years experience in refractive surgery starting with Radial keratotomy (RK). I was chosen as one of only 50 surgeons in the U.S. to be involved with clinical trials of the implantable Contact Lens (Visian iCL). I chose to specialize in laser vision correction, Laser in-situ keratomileusis, known as (LASIK) and refractive lens implant surgery to help patients with their most important sense - their sight.  | She received her Doctor of Optometry Degree with honors from the Southern California College of Optometry in 2006, and graduated Magna Cum Laude at the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Her clinical and classroom work yielded academic achievement awards and membership into the Beta Sigma Honor Society. She completed clinical rotations during her fourth year at top ranked institutions such as Cedars Sinai Medical Center, West Los Angeles Veteran's Hospital and the Center for the Partially Sighted.
