"I had surgery just a few months ago and love my new eyes. I still feel like I need to take out my contacts at night and I reach for my glasses first thing in the morning - only to find, I don't need to do either one of them. It's wonderful. I also went to the Caribbean for an 11-day vacation and it was amazing not to worry about contacts on the beach (sand, ocean water) as I wore gas permables (semi-hard) and you can't open your eyes in the water or they will just float away. I Love MY NEW EYES - Thank you so much - I wish I had done this years ago. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

My surgery was August 13, 2004, yes Friday the thirteenth. Now know to me to be lucky friday the thirteenth because having laser surgery was the best thing I have ever done for myself. It was absolutely one of the greatest experiences. After the procedure I did not know what to expect, when I sat up and could see the numbers on the clock clear it was fantastic. On our drive home I found myself looking at the world from a new pair of eyes. I just wanted to drive around and take in all the beautiful site. The greens are prettier the sky is brighter and the world of colors you took for granted are breathtaking to see without the assistance of glasses or lenses and to think it was raining. There is only one thing better than Laser and that is the wonders of child birth. Because everyone has a different tolerance to pain I found it to be uncomfortabele but not unbearable. The day of the procedure is really the worse, and that was really minimal. I followed the Doctors'' instructions and took two tylenol pm''s and slept for 3 hours. When I woke it was only to be able to see even better with very little discomfort. As time went on my eyes improved. I have worn contacts since I was thirteen years old. In the begining I found myself pushing up the non existing glasses on my face. It is now February 2005 and I just saw my eye doctors for my six month check up and still I have no regrets. I do not know why anyone wears glasses or contacts anymore. I only wish I would have done it sooner...
I'm an 18 year veteran of the Atlantic City Fire Department and have been blessed to have the ability to see again. It''s difficult to see through an air mask when fighting a fire but it''s even more difficult when you need glasses and you can''t wear them. I''m now able to see without "Glasses"! I was always active but now things like snokling, cycling, martial arts, even photography have become more fun. This is, by far, the best thing I could have done to improve my life. Do It!

LASIK surgery was the best decision I ever made! I had been wearing glasses and contacts since I was in third grade, and was looking to get rid of them since college, when I started looking into getting PRK done. I held out and looked into LASIK. When my mom found out several of her coworkers had gotten LASIK done at a TLC center, and had great results, I looked into it further. Dr. Blecher and the Mt. Laurel staff, and your affiliate doctors are the best!!
I've always been an active person - hiking, biking, camping, SCUBA diving, rock climbing...the contacts never bothered me, but they did make overnight trips cumbersome, and I always worried about the cleanliness of removing my contacts while camping. I am also a volunteer EMT, and in responding to calls during the middle of the night, time is of the essence, and my choices were either to throw on the glasses and adjust to clear vision, or put in the contacts.
After my LASIK procedure, I decided that I wanted to learn how to do an Eskimo roll in a kayak - something that I never wanted to do while wearing glasses or contacts. I signed up for some pool sessions, and now, not only am I no longer hesitant to go under water, I''m also teaching others how to roll!
I'm constantly recommending this to everyone I meet who is interested and considering LASIK! Thanks for changing my life!

What an amazing adventure LASIK surgery has been! The results have surpassed my expectations. I can read and my distance vision continues to improve daily! I am so grateful for this amazing miracle. Every time I open my eyes in the morning I thank God for the technology and caring professionals that made this transformation possible.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone at TLC for giving me a new life. I had been wearing glasses and contacts for over 30 years. I am actually able to read my alarm clock, whereas before I could only find it by feel and holding it inches from my face to read it. Once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart and I promise I will try to get rid of this huge smile on my face, but that may take a while!

Even with my most vivid imagination, I never dared to hope I could see this well! It is nothing short of a miracle! My whole view of the world has been expanded both literally and figuratively. I am living the adage "A Feast for the Eyes".

I just had my one-year check up the other day and my vision is still 20/20! This is truly amazing and my life has been transformed for the better. Last summer, I could go swimming and see where I was going. In the winter, I could ski without my glasses fogging up on me when I went indoors!
