Having had LASIK myself, has changed my educational approach and confidence toward LASIK. I am still emphatic that patients are thoroughly prepared prior to making a decision, but now I am able to explain the surgery through their perspective as well as the surgeon's. I have had Laser Vision Correction myself and I can tell you from personal experience, it is the best thing that I have ever done.

After my divorce, I decided to do give myself a gift and what better than the gift of sight. I have twin boys, work full-time, and am getting my graduate degree so I am always putting in long days and my eyes would get tired wearing contacts, and glasses were not always practical with 2 toddlers and doing recreational things like skiing.

r an optometrist, I had numerous options available to me for LASIK. Both my father and the optometrist that I work for had selected TLC for their own LASIK procedures. After researching various options, I elected to have my procedure done at TLC as well. The process was very simple. I saw my optometrist for all of the preliminary tests and visited the center for additional tests. The one-on-one patient care that is offered there is phenomenal. I was petrified, but the entire staff was very accommodating and made the process flow very smoothly and the actual procedure was totally painless.

Now when I get up in the middle of the night with one of the boys, I don't have to look for my glasses, worry about my eyes getting dried out from looking at my computer screen all day at work or when I'm reading a textbook for class. It truly is a miracle. Thank you TLC for my visual freedom.

I LOVE MY NEW EYES! I am currently 20/15 in both eyes. My follow-ups have been fine. What a wonderful feeling to wake up and see! I have had absolutely NO PROBLEMS. The procedure was a piece of cake and I had no pain/dry eyes/soreness, nothing!

I have told everyone that they should have this done!
