Jay I. Novetsky, M.D.- Surgeon

Graduated from The University of Michigan in 1975 with a B.A. with High Distinction. Dr. Novetsky attended Wayne State University School of Medicine and received his M.D. degree in 1979. From 1979 through 1983 Dr. Novetsky trained in Washington, D.C. at the National Medical Center and George Washington University where he was a resident in Ophthalmology. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology as a Diplomat.

Since 1983 he has been in practice at Vision Institute of Michigan where he is the Director of Refractive Surgery. Dr Novetsky has performed over ten thousand refractive procedures since 1984.

In addition to Laser Vision Correction, he has performed over ten thousand cataract surgeries and currently is the Medical Director of Surgery Center of Michigan.

Dr Novetsky has lectured throughout the United States as well as Israel and is the founder of Project Vision, a volunteer eye care consulting group providing free eye care in both Israel and the former Soviet Union.
