Dr. Celina Watson

Education

Dr. Celina C. Watson was raised in Sherwood, AR.  She attended Arkansas State University for undergraduate where she received her Bachelor’s of Science in biological studies.  Dr. Watson began her optometric education at Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.  There she excelled in clinical training, and developed special interests in complex contact lens fits and refractive surgery.  Upon graduating with a 3.74 GPA, Dr. Watson returned to central Arkansas to practice in a full-scope optometric clinic where she provided comprehensive visual care, including pre and post-op care for LASIK and cataract surgery, as well as diagnosis and management of ocular disease. In her current role as Clinical Director of the TLC – Little Rock team, she supervises all aspects of the clinical operations and its network of referring doctors.  Dr. Watson prides herself on communication with her patients through their refractive surgery experience, as well as with her partnering doctors as they manage the care of their patients.

Memberships

Dr. Watson is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Arkansas Optometric Associate.  She was past president of Women in Optometry and has also served as past president of Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society.  In 2010, Dr. Watson was the recipient of an Outstanding Research Award in the area of optometric practice and management.

Interests

In her spare time, Dr. Watson enjoys time outdoors, traveling, attending sporting events,  and enjoying quality time with her husband Kristopher and their Jack Russell Terrier, Jade, who as of now, serves as their only and very spoiled child.
