Andrew E. Holzman, M.D., F.A.C.S. - Medical Director

Dr. Andrew Holzman is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and a Corneal Surgery specialist. He is the Medical Director at TLC Laser Eye Centers in Tysons Corner and also performs surgery and patient evaluations at TLC Laser Eye Centers in Rockville. Prior to joining TLC, he was the Medical Director of Millennium Laser Eye Center. He has performed more than 40,000 procedures and has been named a "Star Surgeon" by VISX for his performance as a refractive surgeon.

Dr. Holzman graduated in 1983 with honors from Emory University. He received his medical degree at the University of Miami School of Medicine and completed his Ophthalmology residency at George Washington University. Dr. Holzman's refractive and corneal transplantation skills were further refined at the University of Pittsburgh Eye and Ear Institute, where he completed a Corneal Surgery Fellowship.

Dr. Holzman has been elected as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is active in numerous refractive surgery and corneal societies, including the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Holzman has been a leader in bringing new technologies to the metro DC market. He was the first physician to perform CK (Conductive Keratoplasty) in the DC area and has been instrumental to the success of Intralase and the Bladeless Lasik procedure both regionally and nationally. Dr Holzman has extensive experience in many vision correction procedures, and has served as a National Trainer and Regional Instructor for other physicians. He has been published and lectures extensively on refractive surgery issues.

L. Edward Perraut, Jr., M.D

Dr. Edward Perraut, Jr., is a board-certified ophthalmologist affiliated with TLC Laser Eye Centers in the Washington, DC Metro Area, Charlottesville, VA and Richmond, VA. He has served as the Chairman of the Board for the Washington National Eye Center, as president of the Washington DC Ophthalmological Society and president of the Ophthalmology section of the Washington DC Medical Society.

Dr. Perraut has taught at numerous medical centers including Georgetown University Hospital, George Washington University Hospital, Washington Hospital Center and Children's Hospital National Medical Center.

Dr. Perraut is a graduate of Princeton University and received his medical degree from the University of Maryland Medical School. He served as Chief Resident of the Ophthalmology Department at the Washington Hospital Center and completed his Fellowship in Vitreoretinal Diseases and Surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Recently Dr. Perraut was named one of the area's top LASIK surgeons by Washingtonian Magazine.

Tina N. Burr, O.D. - Clinical Director

After completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Houston, Dr. Tina N. Burr received her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry. Dr. Burr serves as Clinical Director for the Tyson's TLC centers providing consultations and management in laser vision procedures.

Dr. Burr currently serves as an Executive Board of Trustees Member of the Northern Virginia Optometric Society and is a member of the American Optometric Association and Virginia Optometric Association. She holds optometric licenses in Virginia, Maryland, and DC. Dr. Burr is also certified as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist by the Texas Board of Optometry.

In her role as Clinical director, Dr. Burr is responsible for the efficient operation of all clinical aspects of TLC Tyson's Corner and also aids in developing and maintaining a network of eye care professionals, providing clinical and technical advice regarding Laser Vision Correction. Dr. Burr is dedicated to providing the highest standard of optometric care and service to her patients.

Irving Gan, O.D.

Dr. Gan is a clinical specialist in the field of laser vision correction. He has over 8 years experience in co-managing thousands of LASIK procedures. He even had LASIK himself in December 2000. He currently holds licenses in Maryland and Virginia.

After receiving his Bachelor's of Science degree from the University of Maryland, he was awarded his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Maryland Optometric Association.

In addition to his role as an optometrist, Dr. Gan assists in developing and maintaining a network of eye care professionals. He also provides clinical and technical advice to eye care professionals regarding laser vision correction.
