Dr. Taylor received her B.Sc. from Mount Allison University in New Brunswick. She obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree from Memorial University in Newfoundland. She also completed a family practice residency at Memorial University. She specialized in ophthalmology at the University of Toronto and completed a two-year Retina Fellowship at the university. Dr. Taylor has been extensively trained in both the LASIK and PRK excimer laser techniques and has performed thousands of refractive laser procedures. Dr. Taylor is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and a diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Originally from Moncton, Dr. Cormier is a graduate of the Universit de Moncton (BSA: 1985, DSS: 1991). She then obtained her degree of Doctor of Optometry from the University of Waterloo in 1995, during which she also completed a therapeutic clinical training course at the Houston Eye Associates College in Texas. In 1997, Dr. Cormier received her pre and post-op care accreditation for refractive surgery and obtained her therapeutic license in 1998. She had been in private practice in Bathurst, N.B. before joining the TLC team on June 1st 1998. She also has the advantage of having had LASIK in both eyes. She can therefore better explain the procedure to the patients from personal experience.
