The vast majority of the surveyed TLC Laser Eye Centers patients who had LASIK or other laser vision correction procedures are very satisfied with the results, and most said that the overall quality of their lives and daily routines have improved, according to the results of a recent TLC patient study. TLC_s study mirrors the recent Harris Interactive Survey commissioned by the Eye Surgery Education Council (ESEC). That survey was the first nationwide quality of life survey assessing life implications for laser vision correction patients. Both the TLC survey and the Harris survey clearly show that laser vision correction has a profound positive impact on overall quality of life, daily routine, and job performance. However, the TLC survey results outperformed those of Harris in almost all areas, indicating that TLC patients surveyed reported experiencing the highest quality of patient care and achieving excellent results.

The Bladeless LASIK procedure is a 100% blade-free, LASIK approach to creating a corneal flap, the thin layer of tissue the surgeon folds back to expose the part of the eye that is reshaped during the laser vision correction LASIK procedure. With the Bladeless LASIK procedure, LASIK is now 100% blade-free.

Patients who are able to participate in an employer-provided flexible spending account (FSA) can use that plan to help pay for the procedure. Depending on your income and tax bracket, this could save you as much as $2,400. You won_t have to wait to reduce your dependence on glasses or contact lenses.

Briefly, here_s how it works. Many employer health plans include FSAs that allow you to receive reimbursements for eligible healthcare expenses. You make contributions to the plan through deductions from your paychecks _ these contributions are made with pre-tax dollars. With an FSA, your salary, for the purpose of federal, state, and Social Security taxes, is reduced by the amount of money you put into the account. So, you pay less in taxes. The funds placed in the account are then payable to you for eligible medical expenses. Since the funds that are placed in the account are not taxed, they go much further in covering eligible medical expenses.

Because laser vision correction is an eligible expense for reimbursement, your FSA can help you pay for the correction of nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism.
