Sharing Success

I still cannot believe I don't need to put contacts in anymore. At first I had a hard time remembering that I no longer wore them. It is such an incredible feeling to wake up in the morning and have crisp clear vision. I can't thank Dr. Galler enough as well as the staff at TLC they were awesome! I'm really looking forward to the summer so that I can swim without any worries.

While my vision was not that bad before surgery, the astigmatism I had in my right eye forced me to wear glasses to read important dials and gauges on the submarine, as well as for depth perception, especially at night. The problem was that every time I had to look out of the periscope, which only allows you to use one eye, I had to shift the eye-piece around so that I could use my left eye. Almost everyone else, including the Captain of the submarine, used their right eye. I was concerned about artifacts and halos in the low light conditions of a submarine. Dr. Galler did a marvelous job with the surgery and now I have better than 20/20 vision in each eye. I have great night vision a year after the surgery and have nothing but praise for TLC Laser Eye Center.

I regret that I did not do it sooner. I was terrified to have the surgery but the staff at TLC were incredible about helping me with my fears. They were patient and understanding through all my questions. They were wonderful.

As far as my new vision. It is so nice to be able to take my toddlers to their swimming classes and to the pool without having to worry about either wearing my glasses in the pool or losing a contact in the pool. It is also nice not to have to worry about my 15 month old breaking my glasses. Before the surgery he was constantly ripping the glasses from my face as though it was a game. I can''t wait to go to a Water Park this summer and not have to worry about not being able to see or about losing a contact on a waterslide.

My husband is looking at having it done next year and I am in process of talking my sister in law in to the surgery.
