Sharing Success
Tiger had a very high prescription prior to his LASIK surgery, which placed him in the worst one percent of those with nearsightedness. Tiger was considered to be legally blind without his glasses or contacts. Prior to LASIK surgery, without his glasses or contacts, he would not have even been able to see the ball on the tee.

Tiger Woods on His LASIK Experience
For years I dealt with the hassles and frustrations of glasses and contacts. Then, I made the decision that changed my life. I had LASIK with a TLC Laser Eye Centers surgeon and the results were fantastic. As a professional golfer my eye sight was just too important to risk. Some of my main competitors had LASIK and loved the results. So I went where they went, to TLC. They provided me with the information that I needed and wanted to know. TLC answered all of my questions and helped me to be excited, not afraid of LASIK.
If you're considering LASIK, do your homework. Look for a surgeon with proven experience and a laser center that answers all of your questions and stands behind their results. I know what it's like to have poor vision. I also know what it's like to see 20/20. And trust me, life is much better when you see it clearly.

Tiger Has 56 Wins Since LASIK Surgery in 1999
(St. Louis), September 5, 2006 , Tiger won his fifth consecutive PGA Tour event, the second time he has done so since undergoing LASIK at TLC Laser Eye Centers in 1999. He did so by beating Vijay Singh at the Deutsche Bank Championship, moving him past Byron Nelson for third on the PGA's all-time consecutive win list with five. Safe to say, Tiger is on a roll.
"It's nice when you get on a roll like this where things are just happening," a confident Tiger said.
It was Tiger's 56th worldwide win since undergoing LASIK surgery at TLC Laser Eye Centers. Like many others seeking help with their vision, Tiger did not make his decision lightly.
"As a professional golfer my eye sight was just too important to risk," says Woods. "My vision is fantastic. After six years I'm still seeing 20/20 and I haven't needed any enhancement or retreatment procedures."
Tiger Woods has had an unprecedented career, winning some of golf's most prized majors. He has won 71 tournaments, 53 of those on the PGA TOUR, including four Masters Tournaments, three PGA Championships, two U.S. Open Championships, and three British Open Championships. He is the career victories leader among active players on the PGA TOUR and is the career money list leader.
