Hugh Jellie, M.D.
TRAINING: Dr. Jellie is a cum laude graduate of the University of Western Ontario, 1980. He interned at the University of Toronto and completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Western Ontario. He holds a Fellowship in Corneal and Anterior Segment Surgery from Duke University in North Carolina.
SURGICAL EXPERIENCE: Dr.Jellie has an ophthalmic practice in Kitchener-Waterloo and he has been performing corneal and refractive surgical procedures since 1986. In addition,Dr.Jellie performs Implantable Contact Lenses and has been doing LASIK since 1999. Dr.Jellie had the LASIK procedure to correct his astigmatism and nearsightedness at TLC Waterloo in July,1999.
MEMBERSHIPS: Dr.Jellie is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr.Jellie is a member of various medical societies,including the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the Castroviejo Corneal Society and Alpha Omega Alpha.

TRAINING: Dr. Smith studied medicine at the University of Toronto, graduating in 1985. He then pursued a three year ophthalmology residency and added research to his interests.
LASIK EXPERIENCE: Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Smith went into private practice in Mississauga. He is extensively trained in refractive surgery and has performed thousands of refractive laser procedures at TLC. In addition to his laser experience, Dr. Smith has extensive experience with corrective lens implants.
MEMBERSHIPS: Dr. Smith is a member of the International Society of Refractive Surgery and the American Society of Refractive Surgeons.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS: In 1995, he was named Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology of the Mississauga Hospital, serving on both the Outpatient Committee and the Laser Safety Committee. Dr. Smith served as Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at Trillium Health Centre (formerly Queensway General and Mississauga Hospital) from 1995-2002.
Lisa Willms, BSc - O.D.

Dr. Lisa Willms is Clinical Director at TLC Laser Eye Centers at the University of Waterloo's School of Optometry, in Waterloo, Ontario. Dr. Willms graduated from the University of Waterloo's School of Optometry in 1989. After graduation she worked as an associate in private practices in both Toronto and Waterloo.
In 1997, she began working with surgeons Dr. Jeffery Machat and Dr. Louis Probst at TLC Laser Eye Centers in Windsor, Ontario. In Windsor, she functioned as clinical director providing pre-operative and post-operative care for thousands of patients undergoing laser vision correction.
In November 1998, she accepted the Clinical Director's position in Waterloo. In addition to providing pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing laser vision correction, she will also be teaching a course covering the principles of ophthalmic lasers and refractive surgery to Optometry students.
