Charity Hertzog

Education

Dr. Hertzog graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science. Continuing her optometric education, she received her Doctor of Optometry Degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Hertzog completed her residency in Primary Care Optometry, with an emphasis in ocular disease, at Memphis Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Memphis, TN. Upon completion of her residency, Dr. Hertzog joined TLC Laser Eye Centers as the Clinical/Executive Director. As Clinical Director, she supervises all aspects of the clinical operations and network of referring doctors. She actively participates in continuing education seminars for doctors and LASIK education seminars for patients.

Memberships

Dr. Hertzog is an active member of the American Optometric Association and Arkansas Optometric Association.She is the Past President of Student Volunteer in Optometric Service to Humanity (SVOSH) performing 1500+ exams to underprivileged people in Costa Rica, Belize, and Jamaica. She is also Past Vice President of Gold Key Society recognizing leadership among optometry students

Interests
Dr. Hertzog enjoys running and exercising, scuba diving, swimming and traveling.
