John Witherell

Education

John Witherell, M.D., is a board-certified ophthalmic surgeon who trained at the prestigious Wills Eye Hospital. Dr. Witherell graduated with a degree in bio-engineering from the University of Pennsylvania where he was a Dean's List student. He earned his Doctorate of Medicine from Jefferson Medical College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and earned membership to the exclusive Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Witherell is highly experienced in laser vision correction and has performed thousands of intraocular procedures. He joined TLC in 2004 where he currently does LASIK procedures. Dr. Witherell also practices medicine at Ophthalmic Surgical Associates and New Image Cosmetic and Refractive, with offices in Crozer Chester Medical Center, Media, and Brinton Lake. He trained in both Laser Vision Correction and corneal medicine at Wills Eye Hospital.

Accomplishments

Dr. Witherell is a staff ophthalmologist at Wills Eye Hospital and supervises surgical training of residents. Crozer hospital physicians and staff have chosen Dr. Witherell to successfully perform their own and their family members vision correction surgery. Dr. Witherell is married and has 3 beautiful daughters. He holds a 4th degree black belt in kung fu and is accomplished on both the piano and flute.
