He is now specialized in just refractive surgery, performing iLASIK and PRK with the IntraLase and Visx laser combination. Education/Training Dr. Bartlett graduated from Truman State University with a B.S. in Zoology. He then attended the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated in 1970 as president of his class. He interned at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, taking a rotating internship. He was then drafted into the Army where he performed many eye surgeries and wrote several papers on surgery for the treatment of eye complications of Leprosy and completed another paper on the surgical techniques of treating pterygiums. He then was accepted to Grandview Hospital in Dayton, Ohio and completed his residency in Ophthalmology. Memberships/Affiliations Dr. Bartlett is Board Certified and was elected a Fellow of the Osteophathic College of Ophthalmology and served as examiner for certification for several years. He also is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the Washington Osteopathic Association, and a Diplomat of the National Boards. Honors/Accomplishments Dr. Bartlett has authored several papers and has lectured at the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and was a guest on the Video Journal of Ophthalmology. He has also lectured at Seattle University and the Washington Osteopathic Medical Association. He has trained physicians who were interns rotating through ophthalmology, naturopathic students, osteopathic students and has been honored to train several ophthalmologists in new techniques of refractive surgery and even performing refractive surgery on several physicians and ophthalmologists from this area and other states. He received the 1st place National Scientific Literary Award and is the recipient of the prestigious Danforth Foundation Award for Excellence. |
