Whitney Hauser

Education

Dr. Whitney Hargrove Hauser, a West Tennessee native, graduated from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a degree in Biology. Dr. Hauser received her doctorate from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Hauser completed her residency in Family Practice at SCO. During her residency, she researched the evaluation and management of hypertension in eye care and guest lectured. Currently, Dr. Hauser is an adjunct faculty member for Southern College of Optometry. Dr. Hauser’s interest in refractive surgery led her to practice with Dr. Rolando Toyos in 2003. As Clinical Director, Dr. Hauser directs patient care, including treatment of pre-op and post-op LASIK evaluations. Also, she is an annual lecturer to residents at The Southern College of Optometry.

Memberships/ Accomplishments

Dr. Hauser is a member of the West Tennessee Optometric Society. While at UT, she was chosen as a member of the Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society, Order of Omega Honor Society and Vice President of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. At SCO, she was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa National Optometric Honor Society, Class Representative, Student Ambassador, and Secretary of Beta Sigma Kappa. Also, Dr. Hauser is a volunteer at the Church Health Center.
