Dr. Andrew E. Holzman
Dr. Holzman is a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is the Regional Medical Director at five TLC Laser Eye Centers: Tysons Corner, Rockville, Charlottesville, Gainesville and Washington, DC. He is an Associate Professor at the University of Virgina Department of Ophthalmology, and is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology at Georgetown University Medical Center. An expert in refractive surgery, Dr. Holzman has performed more than 75,000 vision correction procedures and serves as a member of the select National Clinical Advisory Board of TLC Laser Eye Centers.
After graduating with honors from Emory University, Dr. Holzman received his medical degree at the University of Miami School of Medicine. He then completed his Ophthalmology residency at George Washington University Medical Center and a cornea surgery fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Eye and Ear Institute. He is active in numerous medical, refractive surgery and cornea societies, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the International Society of Refractive Surgery and the Cornea Society.
Dr. Holzman has been instrumental in bringing new technologies to the DC area, including Bladeless LASIK. He serves as a National Trainer for AMO and proctors other surgeons in Bladeless LASIK. He also teaches ophthalmology residents refractive surgery techniques.
Dr. Holzman has been published multiple times and lectures extensively on refractive surgery topics, both locally and nationally. Accordingly, hundreds of eye doctors recommend Dr. Holzman for their patients. Many of these same doctors have personally chose Dr. Holzman to perform surgery on their family members and themselves.
