Born and raised in New England, Dr. Bhagat joined the TLC Laser Eye Center in Providence, RI. in 2018. Since joining TLC, she has
worked alongside Dr. Ezra Galler, a leading corneal, cataract and refractive surgeon. She has been published in numerous journals, lectured and presented at major meetings and continuing education events, and volunteered on subcommittees for large optometric organizations. Dr. Bhagat has recently moved back to Rhode Island and is very excited to be back home.
Dr. Bhagat earned her degree in Neuroscience/Psychology at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. After graduating early, she decided to work as an ophthalmic technician. This patient care inspired her to make Optometry her career choice. She earned her doctoral degree at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in 2014. In 2015, Dr. Bhagat completed her residency in Cornea and Contact Lenses at The Eye Institute at Salus University in Philadelphia and joined the faculty soon after. At the university, Dr. Bhagat served as an assistant professor, residency coordinator for the Cornea and Contact Lenses Residency, and coordinator of the Dry Eye Clinic.

Dr. Bhagat is a member of the American Academy of Optometry and the American Optometric Association. She is a member of the Scleral Lens Education Society and an active member of the Rhode Island Optometric Association.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS | HONORS
Before joining TLC, Dr. Bhagat was a Professor at Salus University, educating students and residents about corneas and contact lenses. She received the Preceptor of the Year Award in 2017. Dr. Bhagat has lectured both nationally and internationally; and provides training to eye doctors on specialty lenses at conferences throughout the US. She has published book chapters, written peer reviewed articles as well as articles in optometric magazines, and presented posters at various national conferences. Lastly, she is also a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
