Dr. Lanny B. Hale
Dr. Lanny Hale has been performing refractive surgery since 1984. He is one of the most experienced surgeons in the Milwaukee area, having performed more than 30,000 vision correction procedures. He is also certified by VISX® to train and credential surgeons nationwide in the use of the excimer laser.
Dr. Hale graduated from the Medical college of Wisconsin in 1975, followed by an internship and residency program at the Milwaukee County Medical Complex, where he was Chief Resident and formed the first IOL clinic after her graduated.
Dr. Hale has been presented with the “VISX Star” Award all three years that it has been awarded. This honor is given to the top laser surgeons in the United States, acknowledging their significant contributions to the enhancement, growth and improvement of the field of refractive surgery. He received the “Best of Milwaukee LASIK Surgeon Award” for three consecutive years.
Dr. Hale is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, International Society of Refractive Surgery and Milwaukee Opthalmological Society.
In 2000, Dr. Hale founded the Advanced Vision Correction Foundation. The goal of this foundation is to be a leader in research, development, and training of new and innovative techniques, as well as to provide support to other surgeons.
Today, besides attending to his active clinical practice, Dr. Hale travels around the country helping other physicians become adept in the use of the Visx Excimer Laser System in his role as an FDA physician trainer.
