Dr. Ryan Wood
Dr. Ryan Wood grew up in Wynne, Arkansas. He attended Arkansas State University for undergraduate where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with a minor in Biology. Dr. Wood began his optometric education at Midwestern’s Arizona College of Optometry in Glendale, AZ. There he developed special interests in refractive surgery and glaucoma management. Dr. Wood’s clinical rotations included surgical co-management in private practice and with the Department of Veterans Affairs. He practiced full-scope optometry in the private sector in Franklin, Tennessee. There he provided comprehensive visual care, including co-management of LASIK and cataract surgery, as well as diagnosis and management of ocular disease. In his current role as Clinical Director of TLC Laser Eye Centers – Little Rock, he supervises all aspects of the clinical operations and its network of referring doctors. Dr. Wood prides himself on education and communication with his patients through their refractive surgery experience. He also works with his partnering doctors as they manage the care of their patients.
Dr. Wood married his high school sweetheart, Jordan, in 2015 and they have two chihuahuas, Brady and Murphy. In his spare time, Dr. Wood enjoys hunting, fishing, golf, and anything outdoors.
Dr. Wood is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Arkansas Optometric Association.
