Dustin Briscoe, OD, a native of Ohio and Michigan, graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience. While attending BYU, he served a two year ecclesiastical mission in Fortaleza, Brazil and now speaks fluent Portuguese. Dr. Briscoe earned his Doctorate of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. At SCO he was invited to join the Beta Sigma Kappa National Optometric Honor Society and received a 3rd Year Clinical Skills Award and the “Classes of ’67,’68, and’69 Scholarship for outstanding leadership and professionalism.”
He completed a residency in refractive and ocular surgery co-management at Toyos Clinic in Germantown, TN. While with Toyos Clinic he has co-authored peer reviewed research on Intense Pulsed Light Therapy for dry eye, co-authored a presentation for the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and was chosen to present a poster at the American Academy of Optometry.
