Dr Liegner has been performing LASIK/PRK since its beginning in mid-1990’s and has performed many thousand surgeries to correct common and unusual refractive errors. For nearly three decades, he has been active with his ophthalmic surgical practice, teaching at specialty meetings across the globe, and innovating new patented formulations to improve and enhance cataract and refractive surgery. He is a retired US Air Force officer having served as a research physicist and flight surgeon, a Senior Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and an instrumented rated pilot and aircraft homebuilder.
