Dr. Mohammad Karbassi is a highly skilled ophthalmologist with a focus on refractive surgery and corneal subspecialty. With over two decades of experience, he has been performing ocular surgeries since 1996, specializing in various laser treatments for conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and secondary cataracts. Dr. Karbassi’s expertise extends to cataract surgery, corneal transplant, pterygium surgery, refractive lens exchange, as well as laser vision correction procedures like LASIK and PRK.

EDUCATION | TRAINING

Dr. Karbassi completed his medical education at George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., graduating in 1988. He pursued further training through an internship and residency at Harvard Surgical Services at Deaconess Hospital, followed by two years of fellowship in ophthalmic research at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston. Continuing his pursuit of excellence, Dr. Karbassi completed his residency in 1996 at Boston University and further enhanced his skills with completing a year of cornea and refractive surgery fellowship at University of Rochester. After completing his education, Dr. Karbassi served as a staff ophthalmologist and Department Chair at Billings Clinic in Billings, Montana, before relocating to Colorado in 2006 to establish his private practice.
