Dr. Bryant Giles

Meet Dr. Bryant Giles, a highly skilled board-certified ophthalmologist renowned for his expertise in laser refractive surgery, including LASIK and PRK, as well as cataract surgery. Born and raised in Texas, Dr. Giles pursued his education at Brigham Young University, where he earned a degree in Public Health and Business Management. In 2013, he embarked on his medical journey while serving in the US Army and enrolled in medical school in Georgia. Following that, he completed his ophthalmology residency at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX.

Dr. Giles leads a fulfilling personal life on a small farm in Kentucky, where he resides with his wife and five children. Maintaining a bustling household, they tend to over 100 animals, creating a lively and nurturing environment. Additionally, Dr. Giles serves as an assistant pastor, contributing to the spiritual well-being of his community. In his rare moments of leisure, he enjoys playing tennis and pickleball.

EDUCATION | TRAINING

With over six years of experience, Dr. Giles has been making significant contributions in the field of ophthalmology. Currently serving as the Chief of Ophthalmology and the Warfighter Refractive Eye Surgery Program at Fort Campbell, KY, home of the renowned 101st Airborne, he takes immense pride in performing cataract surgery on military retirees and their family members. Additionally, Dr. Giles specializes in LASIK, PRK, and ICL surgery for soldiers. He shares his expertise as an Associate Clinical Professor in Ophthalmology for the University of Arkansas and actively mentors Physician Assistants during their military training at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital.

Dr. Giles dedication to his patients is evident in his outstanding patient satisfaction scores, which have consistently earned him recognition at Fort Campbell. Driven by his passion for patient care, he performs a high volume of procedures each year, surpassing his military counterparts. His exceptional surgical skills have even led to the creation of a new award, “Top Surgeon,” following his tenure as Chief Resident, in acknowledgment of his record-breaking achievement of performing over 120 cataract surgeries.

Outside of his professional commitments, Dr. Giles is actively involved in philanthropic endeavors. He established a non-profit organization that provides free eye protection to local communities and participates in medical mission trips. In his most recent trip to Honduras in 2022, he performed cataract surgery on individuals suffering from severe visual impairment.
